The difference between frogs and toads is that frogs lay eggs in clusters while the toads lay eggs in long chains. The frogs have a slimy skin that is suitable for moist environment while the toads have a warty and dry skin which is preferred for the dryer climates. The male toads swim with their eggs wrapped around themselves and the male frogs swallow the eggs of their mates and keep them safe in the vocal pouch.
