Difference between Morphine and Diamorphine?

Answer

Morphine and diamorphine have the same chemical constituents. However, morphine works by binding to the receptors to communicate pain to the brain while diamorphine`s different structure means that it cannot bind to the receptors and has to break down into morphine to do so. The process of break down to morphine only takes about 30 seconds.
