In the Philippines, private schools connote a higher degree of learning than in public schools. Although mostly true, it is not always the case. This is evident in consistently high ranking schools such as the Philippine Science High School, Pamantasang Lungsod ng Maynila and the University of the Philippines. Public schools are cheaper than private schools as well.
