What Is the Most Common Gas in the Air We Breathe?


The most common gas in the air that we breathe nitrogen which constitutes about 78% of earth's atmosphere. Other gases in the air include oxygen, carbon dioxide, helium, neon, water vapour and other gases which occur in very small amounts. Nitrogen was first discovered by Daniel Rutherford, a Scottish scientist, in 1772.
