What musical instrument does Kenny G. play?

The primary instrument of Kenny G is the soprano saxophone. He also plays alto saxophone, tenor saxophone and the flute. He is the one of the best-selling instrumental musicians of all time with sales totalling more than 75 million records.

Kenny G was born Kenneth Bruce Gorelick in 1956. While his early records showed diverse influences from funk and fusion, Kenny G soon devoted himself exclusively to the smooth jazz that made him famous and brought him commercial success. He is known for his smooth tone and long melodic lines. His ability to sustain a note put him in the Guinness Book of World Records for playing the longest note ever recorded on a saxophone: 45 minutes and 47 seconds. He achieved this by the use of circular breathing, whereby the player of a wind instrument simultaneously breathes in through the nose while breathing out through the mouth.
