Jim Croce died on Sept. 20, 1973, at age 30 in a plane crash in Natchitoches, La., after the pilot suffered a heart attack. Jim Croce was a popular singer and songwriter in the early 1970s.

Five other people also died in the plane crash that killed Jim Croce. Jim's album, "I Got a Name," was released posthumously and included the hits "I Got a Name," "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song" and "Workin' at the Car Wash Blues."
