Vaudeville was a theatrical entertainment presentation that was popular in Canada and the United States in the 1880s until the 1930s. It became popular since it offered clean entertainment that is not offensive to women and children. Tony Pastor stage the first clean vaudeville in New York City on October 24, 1881. This date is considered as the birth date of vaudeville.
