The Beatles band started out in 1957 in Liverpool when Paul McCartney joined John Lennon's group known as The Quarrymen. George Harrison joined them in 1958. They were later on joined by Stuart Sutcliffe who was a vocalist and Peter Best who was a drummer in 1959. Sutcliffe left the group to continue with his studies in 1960. Pater Best was fired in 1962 and replaced by Ringo Starr. The band broke up in 1970.
