When changing from regular birth control to its generic, can someone get pregnant?

From my experience, it is possible to get pregnant while changing from regular birth control to its generic form. Actually, birth control is never 100% at preventing pregnancy. As long as the transition form one to the other is smooth, your chance of pregnancy should not increase.
