When Did Advertising Start?

Answer

Advertising started as far back as around 1500 BC outside doors in Egypt and Greece using papyrus at Thebes, for a runaway slave. It then began to take new form in London about 1477, where the first printed advertisement in English announced a prayer book sale. The first newspaper advertisement appeared at the back page of a London newspaper in 1625.
