When Did the Formula 1 Points System Change?

Formula 1 bosses announced a new points system to be put in place with immediate effect after an agreement was reached between the FIA and the F1 teams in 2010. Under the new system points will be awarded in decreasing increments in a 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1 sequence.
