When Did the Microwave Oven First Come Out?

The first microwave oven was called Radarange and was first sold in 1947. Its developer, Raytheon acquired radar technology from World War Two which he decided to use to develop it. It was a commercial one and it paved way for the development of the home-use microwave, which was introduced in 1955 by Tappan.
