When is Something Considered Abandoned Property?

Answer

According to uslandlord.com, if a tenant leaves property behind, the landlord should store it and use reasonable care in keeping it safe. If the property appears to be abandoned, the landlord should let the former tenant know in writing and give a deadline for picking it up. If the tenant doesn't pick it up within the deadline, then the landlord is free to do whatever they want with the property. You can find out more information here: www.uslandlord.com
