When Were the Dinosaurs Born?

Answer

Dinosaurs were land-dwelling reptiles with a unique hip structure that enabled them to walk with an erect stance and have their legs stick out from under their bodies as opposed to sprawling out from the sides (like other reptiles). The dinosaurs inhabited the Earth in the period between about 250 million years ago to about 65 million years ago. The period is called the Mesozoic age and was divided into three parts; the Triassic period, the Jurassic period, and the Cretaceous period.
