Coming from a prosperous family, Charles Darwin was educated at Shrewsbury school and later Edinburgh University where he studied medicine. He did not complete his medical studies but preferred to study theology at Cambridge where he studied more on natural history.

Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England in 1809. He attended the Anglican Shrewsbury school in 1818. Later around 1825-1826 he attended the University of Edinburgh Medical School but didn't finish. He received a degree from the Christ's College in Cambridge.
