Where did Einstein live?


Albert Einstein was born in Wuttemburg, Germany, but he lived in Italy, Switzerland and the United States. Einstein moved to Munich at a young age and continued his schooling when his family moved to Italy.

In 1896, Einstein entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich and eventually completed his degree in physics and mathematics. After teaching in Berne, Zurich and Prague, Einstein became a permanent citizen in Germany and taught in Berlin. Einstein left Germany in 1933 for political reasons, moved to the United States and began teaching at Princeton. Einstein died in 1955 in Princeton, N.J. from a ruptured aneurysm.
