Where Did Hurricane Katrina Hit First?

Answer

Hurricane Katrina hit the coast of Florida first on the early morning of August 25. It then weakened as it passed through land but quickly redeveloped into a hurricane when it entered the Gulf of Mexico, then later hit the Louisiana/Mississippi boarder and finally Mississippi. The official death toll stands at 1836 and due to its intensity and severity its name was retired from Katrina and replaced by Katia.
