LSD is an acronym for Lysergic Acid Diethylamie and it is a semisynthetic psychedelic drug that is known for its psychological effects. The drug was discovered accidentally in 1938 by Dr. Alfred Hoffman at the Sandoz Laboratories in Basel which is in Switzerland. He was trying to synthesise the chemical coramine from mould rye on bread when he made the accidental discovery.
