King Penguins live on sub-Antarctic and temperate-cool islands. The adults probably travel south towards the Antarctic pack-ice in winter. King penguins hunt in groups and they feed primarily on fish and at times squid especially in winter.

The King penguin and the Emperor penguin can be found on islands that are north of the Antarctic. There is about a million pairs of these penguins found on several islands like the Prince Edward Island and the Crozet Island.
