Where did tattoos come from?

Answer

Tattoos are a part of an age old culture of beautifying and marking the body. The word tattoo originates from the Tahitian word ‘tatau’ which means mark or strike. However, tattoos were in existence for millenniums, evidence of which was found on mummified bodies even as early as 3300 BC.
