Mitosis occurs in any cells in the body. Its main function is to enhance cellular reproduction, general growth and repair of the body producing 2 diploid daughter cells. Its steps include: interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and cytokinesis.

Mitosis can take place in all cells in the body. The only cells that mitosis cannot take place in is the reproductive cells. It is mainly used in our bodies as a repair man, it just fixes things that are damaged.
