Where Does Pizza Margarita Get Its Name from?

Answer

The pizza Margherita gets its name from Italy's Queen Margherita who visited the Pizzeria Brandii in Naples to escape a cholera outbreak in the north of Italy. A pizza maker on duty created a pizza for the Queen which then became her favourite since it had the three colours of the new Italian flag.
