William Morris was born on 24th March 1834 in Walthamstow, London. From the time he was a child he was studious and learned to read early on. He went on to become a writer, textile designer, artist and socialist, and partnered with Edward Burn-Jones and Dante Gabriel Rossetti to found a design firm.
