The first difference between the LCD and LED TVs is the price. Currently LED televisions are about 50% more than an LCD TV. The second major difference is the environmental effect. LCD televisions use Mercury and Mercury is very bad for the environment. The thickness and therefore the weight is the last major difference between LED and LCD TVs.
