Fashion was invented the first time a person decided to cover themselves. Although in that instance clothing was purposeful, and more of a tool than any fashion statement or trend. As things evolved humans learned different types of manufacturing, how to make different materials, hooks, sewing needles and fasteners. All of these things led to increased variety and choices so that allowed people to express themselves by choosing things that they liked and maybe others did or didn't. The fashion industry now is a multi-million dollar venture and there is no turning back.
