Sir Isaac Newton is a great mathematician and physicist who was loved greatly in the 17th century. He is considered to be one of the pioneers of science as we know it today. Newton was born in England, and most of his important work was done while he was in Lincolnshire. He made discoveries in the fields of optics, gravitation, mathematics, astronomy and chemistry. He's pretty awesome.
