Charles wrote the first collection of fairy stories and the collection included bluebird, Cinderella, Diamonds and toads, Hop o' my thumb, Little red riding hood, Puss in boots and the sleeping beauty. He was born in Paris to a wealthy family and is the seventh child of Pierre Perrault and Paquette Le Clerc.
