In the UK, a mayor is equivalent to the Lord Provost. As of January 2012, the mayor of Edinburgh was George D. W. Grubb. He has been the mayor since May 2007 and he is as well a Liberal Democrat councillor of City of Edinburgh Council for Almond ward.

There is no mayor, there is a lord provost which is the nearest equivelent, There is also ones in Glasgow and Aberdeen, and maybe Dundee but not sure bout anywhere else. don't know

Its George Grubb, has been for the last few years although he's called The Lord Provost...not Mayor. Actually as for com18, he names himself after the racist nazi's called combat
