Thomas B Seddon painted Jerusalem and the Valley of Jehoshaphat from the Hill of Evil Counsel. He was born in early 1821 in London and he was a painter and furniture designer by profession. He died of dysentery in Egypt in 1858 when he had gone there to paint the country's famous landscape.
