Cardinal Richelieu?


Armand Jean du Plessis de Richelieu, also known as Cardinal-Duc de Richelieu, was a French clergyman, noble and statesman. He was consecrated as a bishop in 1608 and later on, entered politics becoming a Secretary of State in 1616 and Chief Minister in 1624 until his death. He is considered as the world’s first prime minister.
