Who Were the 3 Stooges?

The Three Stooges were an American comedy act in the mid-20th century. They first started as Moe Howard, Curly Howard and Larry Fine but later Curly was replaced by Shemp Howard after he suffered a devastating stroke in May 1946. Shemp also died and was replaced by Joe Besser in November 1955. The act became popular in the 1960s but ended when Larry Fine suffered a stroke in 1970.
