Polar bears are becoming extinct due to global warming. Global warming has caused the earth to get warmer leading to the melting of ice. It is estimated that they may be extinct in the next 100 years.
Polar bears are seeing declining numbers year after year. This is do to several factors. First they had been hunted for many years reducing numbers. They also are seeing their food sources dwindle and have less and less time to hunt as the polar ice caps are melting sooner each year.
