Why did English settlers come to America?

Answer

English settlers decided to come to America for all different reasons. Many of them wanted to get away from British rule and find political and religious freedom in the new land. Others looked forward to owning their own land for their first time in their lives, and creating new opportunities for themselves and their families, along with future generations. And many settlers simply craved adventure and looked forward to the unknown potential that America had.
