Siddhartha Gautama, popularly known as Gautama Budha, was a spiritual leader who hailed from the Indian subcontinent. He left his family after he witnessed the lives of the common people as they went about their daily businesses. He decided to become a monk after he saw how monks were happy and peaceful to the difficulties that life had to offer.
