Why Do Canadians Say Eh?

Answer

Canadians use Eh as a way of affirming something said. Eh could be like some form of question tag normally used at the end of a sentence for instance, 'You are having lunch late, eh?' This word does not have a particular origin or a given meaning. Its use was started by a group of people who passed it on to others and in no time it became a catchy word in Canada.
