Why Do People Continue to Live in Volcanic Areas?

Answer

People continue living in volcanic areas due to different reasons. Poverty is one of them, were people living in these areas cannot afford to migrate. Being rich sources of minerals, the locals cannot move because of the benefits. Areas around volcanoes have fertile soils best for cultivation. Geothermal energy and tourism are also factors why people do not move from volcanoes.
