If the dragon is not getting the proper amount of heat in their area, the temperatures may cause them to stress out and may cause them to turn black. Adult bearded dragons should have a basking spot which reaches between 100 to 100 degrees. They must also have a warm spot for eating which can be between around 80 to 85 degrees.
