Why is my Brake Light on?

Answer

The brake light can come on for a couple of reasons. The main reason it would be on is that you are low on fluid. If this is the case you also have a leak somewhere as brake fluid recirculates and does not evaporate or burn up in the system. The other reason it is on would be that it is time to replace your pads. I am assuming the emergency brake is completely disengaged. If not then that would be the reason it is on.
