Why Is Plastic Bad for the Environment?

Answer

Plastic is bad for the environment due to the huge impact that it has on it. The major disadvantage of plastic is that it does not disappear on its own when thrown or damped. It is said that about 100,000 sea turtles and other marine animals die every year because they either mistake plastic bags for food or get strangled in them. The chemicals that are used in the manufacture of plastic also have health effects such as decline in lung function, increased weight gain, increased resistance to insulin, low sperm count as well as DNA damage to sperm.
