Why Is Santa's Suit Red?

Santa's suit is Red because during Coca Cola's promotion, they depicted Santa to be wearing a red suit and this then stuck as the well known colour of his suit. Santa Claus is described as a jolly old man, with a red suit and a white beard. The origin of the Santa’s suit being red came about when the Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's weekly. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years and along the way changed the colour of his coat from tan to the now traditional red, which has remained so to date.
