Why was the Toaster Invented?

Answer

The toaster was invented because without them people would have to manually toast bread over an open flame which is dangerous, time consuming and often burnt the bread. In the early 1900's a factory worker in Minnesota invented the first electric pop up toaster because he was tired of burned toast in the company cafeteria.

Charles Strite was tired of eating burned toast in his company's cafeteria during World War I. So, in 1919 the first toaster was invented by him using springs and a timer.
