Zyrtec is an over-the-counter antihistamine which is used by human but is also approved for use by dogs. Zyrtec dosage for dogs is 5 mg. tablet once a day for does weighing less than 15 pounds while 5 mg twice a day or 10 mg once a day for those weighing 15 to 39 pounds. Dogs over 40 pounds are generally given 10 mg tablet twice a day.
