Just right click on the buddy you no longer want and then a option will come up as delete. Click it and then they will be off your messenger list.

Alas, you cannot put actual images in your profile. However you can put in HTML code which simulates an image. Try and follow the directions on the sites below. If you can't, you should get someone to do it for you.
