yea just to confirm it slows the external one down. If you try to do any volume settings it will lag.

Are you sure the skin has an animated wallpaper. I have never had a problem like that. If the skin has an animated wallpaper then it will animate. But of late there are very few skins being released which have an animated wallpaper.
