Go to that deviation, click "Edit Deviation" to the left of the image, there's a drop down box labled "Full View Size", drop it down and select a smaller size (400 pixels, for example). That's it.

First upload a photo under the category "deviantart ID". It should appear in your gallery. Then, go to Edit Profile and User Display Page, and click on the arrow box beside deviantID. I think that should do it. I don't know for sure though ...
