dumblebee100 I have been using eeePC running Xandros which is a Debian derivative as is Ubuntu. Maybe the dif between Gnome and KDE. Personally I think the non intergrated is easier to use.

Nautilus icons are not related to your Linux kernel . Try to change your Nautilus icons theme. It is possible that you made others changes (install, remove or upgrade packages ?) to your system before you get this problem.
