How to find points of discontinuity?
There are no such points for y = x^2. You'd find them on a graph by looking for breaks, holes, or skipped spots on the graph. Algebraically, you'd look for values of x that make the bottom of a fraction = 0, or require doing the square root... Read More »

What are the points of discontinuity? Are they all?
x^2 - 10x + 21 = (x - 7)(x - 3) so it is discontinuous when x = 7 and when x = 3 since you'd be dividing by 0 there. They are both removable, if that was your question, because the top would also equal 0 at both places. Read More »
