Try using rubbing alcohol. Just dab a little bit on a hand towel or cotton ball and wipe the scuff mark with it. I use it all the time

A thing called shoe polish...shoes should be polished at least every 2 to 3 weeks to keep them looking fresh and new, especially if you are wearing really well made shoes.
