Why did you bore it that far over? not to nitpick. but if it has to come apart again, id suggest finding a bare block and going back to stock bore and and run the stock HG also. And like Trevor said no dice, i wonder if thats the problem...

I'd stay with the same brand. I once put Mahle rings on my JE pistons and after 3000 miles I burn oil like a diesel a wot lol! I know JE's are a custom size for their pistons, so be safe and stay with Weisco.

0065 to .009 clearance on them. Depending on how loose you want to go. The problem with wiseco is you have to watch the tops of the domes. After a while, you'll see a dent in them. You can still run them, but you'll see what I am talking ab...

From what I know, not sure on the part #'s matching, but the 87 kx 500 used a single ring piston, but I found that the dual ring from an 88 and up matched
