Homepages are useful as a primary location for all of your web browsing. The most popular are Google, Yahoo, Bing or simply a blank page (about:blank). Many browser add-ons or websites change your homepage to their website, often without you realizing what they are doing. Luckily, modern web browsers make it easy to fix.
Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox both have their settings under their menu button (the three lines). Chrome calls them Settings, while Firefox calls them Options. For Apple's Safari browser, click the Apple logo on the top of your screen, and hit "Preferences." Microsoft's Internet Explorer 10 uses a gear icon to bring up the Action menu to find "Internet Options."
In Chrome, your homepage settings are under Appearance, while in Safari, Internet Explorer and Firefox, these settings are under the General tab.
For Safari, Internet Explorer and Firefox, change the homepage entry to whatever you wanted your homepage to be. In Chrome, click Change under the "Show Home" button. Edit the "Open this page:" entry with whatever you want your homepage to be. Alternatively for the Firefox browser, take a browser tab, and drag it onto your Home button to automatically add it.
